The 2nd annual International Healthcare Summit, co-organized by August Mission and MedGlobal, is a preeminent event for healthcare professionals, researchers, medical companies and experts from the international community. This year, we will have specific medical delegations in three areas: Orthopedics and trauma, Rehabilitation & therapy, Mental health. Our planned format for the Summit will be large group sessions in the mornings. The afternoons will be reserved for each of the delegations meeting in smaller venues with local healthcare leaders (heads of hospitals and clinics) to foster collaboration and training, and share innovative practices to address Ukraine’s pressing healthcare needs.
Attendees will learn about cutting-edge technologies, the latest treatments, and best practices that Ukrainian doctors implement nowadays, gathering the best experience from doctors and hospitals all over the world. Experts in the field will share their experience and insights on current and future healthcare needs in Ukraine and will feature rehabilitation projects as well as working rehabilitation centers. The International Healthcare Summit will also bring together the top officials from Ukraine, including representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of regional administrations, and international organizations.

Workshop Overview
The International Healthcare Summit is designed to be a dynamically collaborative platform for medical professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders to address pressing healthcare challenges in Ukraine.
Each day will consist of plenary sessions that are followed by workshops in which delegates delve deeper into specific areas of need, dialogue openly and share knowledge and experience to identify challenges, explore innovative solutions, and develop actionable plans. We seek participants who will be active and committed to sharing and gaining knowledge, and to contributing towards tangible outcomes for three specific health care areas:
To be instrumental to healthcare in Ukraine, we envision delegates leaving the summit with a clear understanding of the most pressing issues, a network of collaborators, and an action plan for developing solution options within their respective organizations and after-action committees.
Workshop FAQs
Each day will begin with a plenary session to recap the previous day’s workshops and set the agenda for the day. Afternoons will be dedicated to workshops: delegates will break into three healthcare specific workshop groups that will work for 3-4 hours. Workshops will be in smaller venues for in-depth group discussions and collaboration.
Workshops will include presentations, panel discussions, and interactive breakout sessions to guide knowledge sharing and collaboration on challenge questions.
We encourage all attendees to actively participate: to share experiences, ask questions, and contribute to group discussions.

Workshops are expected to propose solutions to challenge questions. Outcomes may be in the form of guidelines and recommendations via whitepapers or policy briefs, commitments to execute on agreed-upon action items, and even specific projects. Follow-up meetings and communication channels will be established to support ongoing collaboration.
In-person collaboration is most effective. However, we will do our best to accommodate remote participation also.
The level of involvement will vary depending on the specific initiatives. However, we anticipate a zoom update in 3-4 months as well as ongoing engagement to ensure successful implementation of workshop outcomes.
We have a suggested delegate fee (donation to August Mission) to help us underwrite the costs of the Summit. Suggested donation amounts are on the Registration page.
